Mexico imported 13.64 million tons grains and pulses in the first five months,which grew 22.7%

SHIJIAZHUANG,June 22, 2016—According to the report issued by GCMA, the first five months in 2016, Mexico has imported 13.64 million tons grains and pulses,which grew 22.7%. The import quantity of corn is 6.24 million tons,that including 5.64 million tons yellow-corn and 0.54 million tons broken white corn.Because of the effect of preferential tarrif of NAFTA,the main agriculture product imported from USA. Meanwhile, the quantity of soybeans has grew 11.2%, the most imported from Brazil and Paraguay. The import wheat has a year on year growth of 23%, the main import countries are CANDA,FRANCE,RUSSIA and Ukraine.
