The import quantity of refrigerating and the frozen products loaded by containers is 7.311 million tons in Netherlands,2015

SHIJIAZHUANG,May 12, 2016—A report from the Statistics department of
the Netherlands,in 2015,the import quantity of the refrigerating and the frozen products by containers is
7.311 million tons,5% less than last year.It is the first decline in five
years. And most of that transit via the Netherlands ports to other countries.
The report said that, for the quantity of the
import refrigerating and frozen goods, the fruit is 3.72
million tons, accounting for more than 50%,and increased nearly 3% than last year. The
vegetables have imported 0.408 million tons and the quantity of the frozen meat
is 1.193 million tons that reduced 20%. The poultry imports is still the most
important meat though its quantity has a 0.3-0.5 million tons reduction. Meanwhile,the
quantity of pork and beef remained as same as last year.
Brazil is always the largest supplier of the
frozen meat to the Netherlands, in 2015,the quantity is 0.516 million tons, but
decreased by 0.146 million tons than in 2014. The followed countries is Ireland
(0.111 million tons), Singapore (0.094 million tons), Canada (0.053 million
tons) and France (0.009 million tons), the remaining countries together
accounted for 0.41 million tons.
