Egypt will remit 20% import tariffs of sugar till the end of 2016

SHIJIAZHUANG, June 5, 2016—The news from Egypt official, Egypt will remit 20% import tariffs of sugar till the end of 2016,the statute will be effected on 20 May.

     According to the report of USDA, Egypt have increased the import tariffs of sugar and beet sugar from 2% to 20% in the beginning of the year.

     Egypt sugar production is 2 million tons but have a 3.2 million consumption per annum.Meanwhile, the Egypt government have imposed 101.35USD per ton of sugar export tariff from last week till the end of this year.
